This is a commentary on 2 Corinthians that Carol wrote while teaching a class on the book. Corinth was a prosperous and rich city located on the isthmus between Attica and the Greek Peloponnesus. It had many temples and shrines, including the temple of Apollo. The area was full of cult worship and the church developed many problems certainly at least partially because of the immoral city. The letter is thus very applicable to us today as there are many immoral activities and false worship locations in our country now. So this can be a rich study to help us identify false doctrines and immoral behaviors in the church today.
